Why is the Atlanta Lights Fest held in Munford Alabama?
Safety is our top priority. We choose our event locations very strategically. We cannot hold this event near city limits and we require a venue with plenty of open space so we can map out the lanterns' flight path and landing zone. This enables our clean-up crew to gather the lanterns after the event. Our lanterns are 100% biodegradable, made of rice paper and bamboo, so in the rare instance a lantern isn't collected after the event, it will not harm the environment or any wildlife that may call the area home. What You Get
Each adult ticket includes a packet to be picked up at the event. The packet contains a lantern and a marker. Each person 13 years and older will need an adult ticket to enter. Children 3 and under are free. Children ages 4 - 12 need a kid's ticket. They will receive a little Fun Kit, and no lantern.
